Tonight's Highland Welfare Cup tie with Hill Rovers FC has been forfeited due to our inability to raise a team in time for the 7pm kick off at Fort George. Injuries and the near 80-mile midweek round trip have made it impossible, so our participation in the competition has sadly come to an end before it had even begun. There's always next year however...

Carr-bridge got back into winning ways tonight, defeating Cromdale 4-2 away from home. A full match report can be found here.

Also, Thursday's Highland Welfare Cup match has been moved from Culloden to Fort George, kick off still 7pm.

Following on from yesterday's Highland Welfare Cup information, it's been confirmed that the game against Hill Rovers FC will take place this coming Thursday 24 April at Culloden Public Parks. Kick off 7pm.

The draw for this year's Highland Welfare Cup has been made, with Carr-bridge paired against Hill Rovers FC - and a very tight schedule of having the game played by next Thursday (24 April). If all goes well and we advance to the last 16, our opponents will then be the Lossie Inn or Merkinch at home. More details to follow as we get them.

Carr-bridge's 2008 campaign got off to a losing start tonight, being knocked out the McCook Cup 4-3 away to RBL. Full match report here.

Carr-bridge will now meet RBL in Friday's McCook Cup semi-final due to Tomatin withdrawing from the competition last night. As they are playing in the Highland Welfare Cup Final on Saturday, Tomatin had asked for the McCook Cup match to be played on Sunday instead. Unfortunately this was not possible due to many of our squad having other committments at the weekend. RBL were therefore reinstated and have now replaced Tomatin in the competition.

With Tomatin beating RBL in tonight's McCook Cup 1st round game, Carr-bridge will now make the trip up the A9 on Friday to face Tomatin in the semi-final and open our 2008 campaign. Cromdale defeated Tomatin Utd 5-1 in the other match.

Carr-bridge have been drawn against Hill Rovers FC from Inverness in the Highland Welfare Cup. Full details of the date and venue will be given later, but the match is likely to take place in Inverness.
