SBWFA League Week 2
CARR-BRIDGE 3 - 1 TOMATIN ![]()
Carr-bridge played at home for the first time this season and used the advantage well to see-off an impressive Tomatin side 3-1.
David Robertson opened the scoring with what can only be described as a fluke goal. His cross intended for Marcus Forrest took a wicked bounce inside the box and looped over the stranded Tomatin keeper and into the back of the net. A midfield battle then saw out the first half in carr-bridge's favour.
A bright second half saw the home side go two up from the penalty spot after Grant was felled by the keeper after going 1-on-1 following a delightful through ball from Robertson. Marcus Forrest duly despatched it for his 2nd of the season.
Grant was replaced by Gary McGeoch who then stamped his mark on the game by running in a magnificent solo goal from the half way line to give Carr-bridge a 3 goal cushion.
However they didn't have it all their own way as Tomatin pulled one back with 15 minutes to go, and this spurred them on to an all-out attack on the home goal, but Carr-bridge held out to end the game 3-1 winners.
