TOMATIN 2-1 CARR-BRIDGE

Carr-bridge lost out in tonight's top of the table clash with League leaders Tomatin for the second time this season.

The game promised much, and the visitors got off to the best possible start with Martin Harrower slotting home after only 2 minutes. But both teams then settled after this, with a very evenly matched first half drawing to a close: Carr-bridge a goal in front.

However Carr-bridge were forced to make crucial substitutions early in the 2nd half, and these proved to be telling as Tomatin began to apply ever more pressure. Twice the woodwork came to Carr-bridge's aid, but it was only a matter of time before the home side drew level, which they did from an inswinging corner duly dispatched past a helpless MacDonald in goal.

We were then hit by a sucker punch only 2 minutes later when Tomatin headed themselves into a 2-1 lead. And as the mist began to descend from the hills, so Carr-bridge's chances of levelling vanished from sight as Tomatin ran out the remaining time worthy 2-1 winners.
